COMMUNITY UPDATES
TRAFFIC CONTROL - The City of Oviedo will be installing a stop sign at WinnDixie where there is only a white bar now, to the right as you leave our gates. They are going to restripe the entrance roads, this should be accomplished within the next few weeks. This should help with residents entering / exiting our gates to Lockwood.
GATES CLOSED - The gates will be closed 24/7 for the summer. Gate codes change July 1, 2008. New codes were published in the last newsletter.
ON THE COURT - Community tennis courts have been resurfaced. Please remember that NO bikes, scooters, or pets are allowed on the tennis court surfaces.
NEW TREES - Oak trees surround our perimeter, keeping our neighborhood private and green. New trees to replace those lost during the hurricanes of past years have been planted and more replacements are planned.
STREET PARKING - Remember our parking policy keeps our streets safe. Parking is only allowed on the streets along areas marked with WHITE lines. This is to accommodate the school bus, emergency and fire vehicles that cannot navigate our narrow private circle with cars parked on both sides of the street. Look for new striping to help remind everyone of designated parking and remember that if you have a party or event - there are PASSES available to allow parking for special occasions. PASSES allow temporary parking in front of your house.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH - We are a Neighborhood Watch Community. Help keep our neighborhood safe by reporting any unusual activity or vehicles you notice. Remember that open garage doors and unlocked vehicles invite "crimes of opportunity." Call 407-971-5700 for non-emergency reports and 911 for emergencies.
